Meet Ginger

Hi, I’m Ginger—the biggest fan of every story! Every pet is a main character with a personality, a family, and a life that happens only once. I feel so lucky to be part of capturing that once-in-a-lifetime life, preserving the little moments that make their story yours.

My own first chapters

My own story began with my first official job in the animal-care field, directly out of high school, as an Animal Control Officer. This gave me in-depth experience with how shelters operate and with the pets waiting for their next chapter to begin.

As I explored more opportunities in animal care, I stepped away from law enforcement and into the medical side, becoming a kennel technician at a private veterinary clinic. Within six months, that led to my next chapter: a promotion to veterinary technician assistant.

Over the next four years, I learned about animal breeds, behaviors, personalities, health, diseases, and wellness, along with handling and technical skills that I carry into my everyday life. Those four years as a veterinary technician assistant grew into three years working as a veterinary technician at a general-practice hospital.

A new chapter: Storybark

Throughout my years in animal care, a photography hobby grew into a passion. Storybark Photography began in 2026 with a camera and a plan: joining the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), working toward becoming a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP), and continuing to work full time in veterinary care.

Now, I get to bring my love of animals and storytelling together. Whether your main character’s story is full of zoomies, quiet cuddles, new beginnings, or years of friendship, I’m here to celebrate it with you. Being trusted to capture a chapter of their life is something I’ll always feel lucky to be part of.
